Benjamin Horning

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

As Director of Development, Mr. Horning is responsible for overseeing Dedeaux Properties’ development of industrial property in Southern California. His responsibilities include project entitlement, managing the consultant team of architects and engineers, overseeing the pre-construction and construction process, and supporting the disposition and/or leasing of completed assets. Prior to Dedeaux Properties, Mr. Horning spent 4.5 years with Xebec Realty managing various industrial development projects throughout Southern California. At Xebec Realty, Mr. Horning was responsible for overseeing over $200 Million in industrial development and brought over 1 Million SF of industrial product through entitlement and construction. Prior to Xebec Realty, Mr. Horning spent 5 years managing various commercial construction projects throughout Southern California averaging about $25 Million annually for both Swinerton Builders and The Bergman Companies. His responsibilities included overall project management, contract negotiation, budget management, and estimating. Previously Mr. Horning spent 2 years at the Willdan Group of Companies developing civil design plans for grading, utility and street improvement projects for various public agencies. Mr. Horning earned his Masters in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California in 2012 and his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University – Pomona. He also holds a General Contractors License in the State of California.
